During my research for the FreeRunner post the other day, I went looking for information on my current phone – the Samsung Blackjack 2 (SGH-i617) – and found a website dedicated to the phone! blackjack2.info is a website in blog format dedicated to hacking up the, you guessed it, Blackjack 2!
I was really interested in the GPS features of the phone and found a magical article about using the debug feature of the phone – dial *#9999*0# and you go into debug mode – to start GPS manually. All I can say is, I have been in this debug mode for a couple hours now and it’s really neat stuff.
If I don’t end up getting a FreeRunner maybe I’ll just drop some time into learning the .NET Compact Framework and doing some cool stuff with this phone instead.
